Tsukiji Fish Market,

Paul Bassett, Jiyugaoka, Tokyo, Japan

I know Paul Bassett from "Living Coffee", a TV program on Travel Living Channel. Checking the website, I found his shop was located in Jiyugaoka where my sister lived in 2008. She brought me there when I went to Jiyugaoka. It's a great coffee shop. I bought its coffee bean, too. It's remarkable as well.

A Starbucks with a swimming pool, Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan

In my sister's house, I saw a travel book introducing a Starbucks Coffee with a swimming pool in Kamakura. Deciding to visit Kamarura, I put this shop in my "spots list."

Schwalbe Ultremo R.1

In the way around Taiwan, the rear tyre Continental GP4000 wore away seriously. However, after back to Taiwan, I didn't ride my Time periodically. To replace the rear type had been forgotten for a long time.

Yesterday, I went to Columbus-Tachi and looked for a new tyre. The store clerk recommended Schwalbe Ultremo R.1 to me. I didn't care about the latest products of bike market for a long time, and I didn't know the comments of this model. Besides, Continental GP4000 and Michelin PRO3 couldn't have black or red painted tyre in stock. Moments later, because the clerk recommended it strongly, I bought two for my Time. When the clerk installed the tyre, he found my GP4000 became stiff. It's dangerous to keep using it. That reminded me, the Conti GP4000 had used for almost three years.

After coming home, I checked the comments on the Internet. It seems a good tyre. I should restart periodical riding to catch up IOB teams.

Jioufen in a dust storm

I'd forgotten when I went to Jioufen last time. Because Maiko, one of my classmates in Boston, asked to visit there, Tung and I drove to Jioufen, a village full of tourists. Honestly speaking, I didn't like Jioufen very much. Souvenir stores selling similar products blurred the intrinsic style of Jioufen. However, we're tourists as well. How can we define "the essence of Jioufen?" It's a paradox.

I had never gone to tea houses in Jioufen before this visiting. I thought they gave poor service to foreigners only. I didn't want to pay money to see their poker faces. However, visiting this tea house, I was wrong. After we walked in the shop, the waitress introduced all the items in fluent Japanese. The service is so good that I was willing to pay the expensive fee.

A lot of people in tourist industry said that Taiwan needs more and more Chinese tourists to raise our tourist industry. They should come here to learn what the good service is. In my point of view, such kind of great service will attracts more worldwide tourists and backpackers. They should improve their poor service and facilities. Better qualities create more profits than more quantities do.
