In summer a house with ocean view like this one would attract a lot of tourists.
夏天時這樣的海景別墅應該可以吸引不少人吧？



There were many small shops selling similar souvenirs. Those shops made me think about Kenting and Jioufen.
走在 Rockport 的街頭，有著許多紀念品的小店，裡面都賣著類似的東西，讓人想到了墾丁及九份。









為什麼要叫 Good Dog?

這是一間只販賣本地攝影家拍的本地照片的藝廊，感覺非常不錯。多一點這種沒那麼商業化的店，也讓人感覺舒服點.....( 不過，這也不過是不喜愛過度商業化的旅人心中的一個不切實際的 murmur 罷了....）















當地知名的老糖果店內的，擺設著古早以前的包裝機器。雖然是老牌子，不過以華人的口味來說，並不太吸引人......





偶然看到一間以 R 機為招牌的相機店，當然要走進去看看。老闆顯然是 Leica 迷，有一些沒看過的紀念品，我猜是自己開版做的。拿出 M7 小聊一下，順便問有沒有 40.5mm 的保護蓋，雖然他也很努力的找了自己的舊貨堆，還是找不到。

言談中老闆對於 M7 裝 Minolta 做的 M-Rokker 頗不以為然，沒辦法，正統的 Leica 新鏡除了當年較便宜的 90/F4，我可是一顆都買不起。話不投機半句多，我可不是品牌至上的人，找不到東西就走了.....






有機會不妨去 Rockport 一趟，走走路，看看海，吃吃龍蝦，是個半日遊的好地方....

Lobster in Rockport

許多人聽到要去 Boston，首先想到的就是 Boston 龍蝦。然而，市區實在很難找到便宜的龍蝦，於是，我們開到了 Rockport 這個小港。這間小小的店面裡龍蝦真是多到滿出來.....
It's not easy to find cheap lobster restaurants in downtown Boston. Therefore, we drove to Rockport. The small shop were full of lobsters.....




這位大嬸的表情相當有趣.....

所有的龍蝦就丟在這個磚造的爐裡面，沒有調味，只有單純的水煮，這才讚！

Gloucester 身為漁港，而且是號稱美國最早的漁港，有著這種討海人的紀念碑是很自然的.....

Seeing that I was taking pictures, this man chat to me about photography for a while. This man knew Taiwan! That made me happy.

Stage Fort Park, Gloucester, Massachusetts

有著海景與海灘的 Stage Fort Park 是位於 Gloucester 的另一個景點。
Stage Fort Park with ocean view and beach is another scenery spot located in Gloucester.



雖然陽光普照，五月的海風還是透露了些許還沒退散的寒意，所以沒什麼遊客。
Although it was sunny, the wind in May was still cold. There were a few tourists on the beach.

HAMMOND CASTLE MUSEUM, Gloucester, Massachusetts

享受著同時有著海景與樹林的 Hesperus Ave.，路邊出現的是 Hammond Castle Museum. 中世紀風格的 Hammond Castle 建於 20 年代，主人 John Hays Hammond, Jr 在此收藏了不少古董。令人意外的是，在讀到相關資料之前，對 John Hays Hammond, Jr 一無所知，只覺得是個有錢人吧？查到資料以後才知道他原來是個專利數量僅次於愛迪生的美國發明家，而且有著 The Father of Radio Control 的稱號。
I enjoyed the Hesperus Ave, with ocean view and the forest scenery. Hammond Castle Museum, a medieval-style castle built in 1920s, appeared by the road.




此時城堡內部是不對外開放的，不過看看開放部份的花園、建築、以及景觀就讓人覺得目不暇給了。
It was closed for the winter season. However, the gardens, the building itself, and the scenery were enough to me for my short trip.




































當然，來到海邊的小港，今天的午餐又是龍蝦了.....
Gloucester is a small town by the sea. Of course. The lunch is lobster, again...
